Zi Hwei first degree is in Computer Science majoring in Computer Graphic Programming. Obtained grade “A” for her final year thesis by creating a Computer Assisted Photofit Software in which she has subsequently employed by a financial institution as software programmer. Subsequently, she pursued LAW as her second degree.
Zi Hwei was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court in Malaya in 2012, after completing her pupilage under YM Tunku Farik Ismail at Messrs Azim Tunku Farik & Wong and subsequently retained as Legal Assistant under the Non-Motor Insurance Department led by YM Tunku Farik Ismail and reported directly to YM Tunku Farik Ismail.
Prior to joining the legal profession, she has experience working in the Conveyancing Department of Messrs Abraham Ooi & Partners, Kuala Lumpur and was familiar with the Conveyancing practice specializes in properties loan and sales.
She was a former Insurance Adjuster with Crawford & Co Adjusters (M) Sdn Bhd. She handled various types of liability claims ranging from professional indemnity, public and product liability to warehouse and marine cargo insurance as well as participation in the due diligence process of insurance company.
Apart from insurance-related work, Zi Hwei has a particular interest in medico-legal matters in which she was previously handling medico-legal cases with Messrs Puthucheary and subsequently Messrs Murali B Pillai & Associates. She has acted in defence of medical practitioners in the High Courts and in disciplinary proceedings and had good working relationship with the experts in the medical fraternity. She has also defended medical specialist in various medical negligence cases with claims amounting to millions.
She is currently actively involved in the legal advisory of an IT company in relation to shareholders and investors as well as in the team of preparing the prospectus and advisory for the IT company for the next funding of at least RM10 million.
Currently, she is actively involved in Corporate advisory and civil litigation ranging from construction related cases, land-related disputes, asset and debt recovery to personal injury matters and has appeared in courts conducting trials.
Meng Guan obtained his LL.B(Hons.) from Multimedia University (MMU) and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2016, specializes in both Litigation and Conveyancing matter. He has represented individual and corporate clients, including Public Company Listed on Bursa Malaysia Main Market for their various civil litigation disputes.
He was actively engaged in trial and appellate advocacy at all levels of Malaysian Courts and advises clients on a broad range of issues including Commercial disputes, Banking Litigation, Debt Recovery, Contractual Disputes, Defamation, Employment, and Industrial Relations, and Shareholder dispute.
He has recently represented a Public Listed Company in defending against a disputed sum of Ringgit Malaysia 18 million which involved various allegations of fraud and misrepresentation and he has also successfully struck out a defamation suit against his client which involved a claim of million dollars.
He also advises and represents clients in property-related matters, including sale and purchase transactions for residential and commercial properties.
He has also been appointed by NGOs and associations, both at national and local level, for whom he provides voluntary pro-bona service - a social voluntary responsibility assumed by, and firmly anchored in the philosophy of, the Firm.
